Who is Leigh Ann Scarbrough?

Leigh Ann Scarbrough isn't just a candidate — she's one of us. Born and raised in Memphis, she walked the same halls at Wells Station Elementary, Craigmont Middle, and Craigmont High School that students walk today.
For years, she has shown up for Memphis children — first as a librarian with Memphis Public Libraries, and now as an Elementary School Librarian with MSCS. Every single day, she opens doors to knowledge, sparks curiosity, and invests in the futures of our kids.
Her commitment to learning runs deep. Leigh Ann earned a B.A. in History and Anthropology, a M.S. in Instructional Curricular Leadership from the University of Memphis, and a Master of Library Science from Indiana University — because she believes that serving our community well means never stopping to grow.
